Holy nutballs....last day before i leave for CHA...

I made this cute garland...a beachy theme!

And i have made a whole bunch of tags...like tonnes of them...this isnt even all of them!

Pretty snazzy with the stamps too!

This one is my favorite color! Sparkly Magenta!

I wish pretty tags really did grow on trees. :)

Hey Betties....whats happenin' hot stuff?

Take a peek at these little numbers i made for the booth at CHA.

I am designing the part of the booth called "By the Bay".

It has been fun to be collecting all kinds of beachy stuff, and getting everything just right.

I thought these would be good to fit in some memory jars.

I went to the local party supply store and bought a bag of these umbrellas. Then i used a bottle of embossing goo that you are supposed to add to your stamp pad, but instead i put it on my fingers, and spread it all around like butter. Then i covered them in embossing powders from WOW, using all the colors from the by the bay collection, and heated them with my gun...and voila...embossed umbrellas!

I also made this little memory ball also. I cute the strips that you get as a proof form the photo department, and then popped it in the top. I also stamped some little hearts using the new WOW stamps, and the red powder to emboss them.

Then i added some buttons...since i have love them so much. LOL.

Hi Girls
Just a quickie to let ya know when my Cricut classes are up again at the store.
Next ones are on
Saturday, February the 11th.
The advanced on starts at noon, and we will be making these Valentine bag toppers.
I will have them all kitted up and ready to go.
I will teach you everything you need to know about your 12 x 12 Cricut Expression machine as well.

For the beginner class it will start at 1o:oo AM,
and we will be making these cute Valentines Day Garlands!
As usual i will have everything all kitted up and ready to go!

Hey girls...Just running gettin' ready to set up for CHA.

It is so exciting to see all the friends from all over the world, we all join up for this, and it is such a good time!

I am also super excited to see all my new favorite things from all the best scrap companies!

It will be great to see all the new releases. I have been busy keeping a list of the sneak peeks, and you can bet we will be ordering the best ones for our getaway in March!

We are already busy getting ready for that!

Hey girls!!!!! Whew...i am so knocked out right now...between being a mama, and getting ready for CHA, and everything else....I am running outta time and steam too! Crazy!

Happy Friday the 13th!!!!

I have to admit i am a bit superstitious...when i was young, i watched this movie, Friday the 13th, and i had never been so scared in all my life!

So it will be good when tomorrow is here! :)

I have been up to my elbows in embossing powders, and prepping so much stuff for the big show!!! I cant wait to go to CHA again! Just finished making more plans to see this or that! I can't wait for my faves to come out with all their new goodies!

Thrifty tree huggers unite!

Hiya girlees!

Back in October i was asked to head up a committee of gals to create a Christmas party for 200 people. No problem right, i love this stuff. Ummmm...one hitch. You have 400 bucks for the budget! Alrighty, so its down to business...we immediately decide the theme will be "Home for the Holidays", which will allow for a vintage, handmade, homemade type decor.

Exhibit A: Make trees from old magazines.

Inexpensive. Cute. Perfect.

My Girlfriend had seen on Pinterest how to make these darling trees. We had a decoration party, and a bunch of friends got together and we made a whole bunch of them, along with other things too.

So many of you had asked how to make them, so take a peek at this!

All you need is a magazine, and then some time to fold them!

{The Bachelorette is back on...Perfect! LOL}

Then a total fluke!

While waiting for Fric in the orthodontist office, i was flipping through a magazine in the waiting room, and came across them!

Excuse the pictures they are from my phone, but they explain how to make the folds! I feel awful since i can't tell you which magazine they are in...i was such a dolt to not snap a picture of the magazine cover. I even googled some of the names, and contributor's to the article, and cannot find it! So sorry!

We lined up several down the centers of the tables!
So cute!

We also suspended snowflakes from the ceiling by floating them on helium balloons!
They were just hanging in the air, so pretty, and fluttering!
It looked pretty good considering we had squat for a budget!

Of course i loved the Thickers too...a girl can never have too many packs of Thickers. I recently went to a crop, and brought my Thickers with me, and i think some of the girls thought i was weird for having so many! Ha ha ha! I don't think i'm weird.

Well, i guess i do hoard them.

Just wanted to give you a peek at some of the goodies i have been working on, and let you in on a secret i have had for a while now! It is these awesome albums!
Bazzill makes this one, but they are also made by we r memory keepers!
I love them, it makes it really easy to scrap- when you have a tonne of pictures you need to bang out in a hurry!

The page protectors are all broken up into sections, so you can just shove your pictures in, and just scrap a small section!

Mixing up the pages in your albums is really cute, and allows for all kinds of memorobilia if you have lots...like we did.

On our last trip, i grabbed lots of maps, and such from all the fun places we ate at, and visited.

I used all the goodies from a Polka Dot Whimsy kit.

As usual filled with so many cute things!!!

I can't wait to get the one from December!!!!

So a few days ago, for the first time in months, i took time to actually read some blogs! I have been so busy, since like September, LOL, i hadn't been reading any blogs. So... on new years eve, i made some cocoa, and started reading a few of my favorites!

Happy 2012!!!!

It is crazy to think another year has come and gone!

December was packed with fun, and holiday gatherings! A good Christmas was had by all. I sure missed going back home, and watching the snow fall, and going to the mountians, and seeing my family. I heard the song by Bing Crosby many a time over the month, singing about being home for the holidays, and got a lump in my throat each time. We still managed to have a good time, just different fun. I ate way too much. So its back to water and celery for a month or so. wink.

So yesterday i finally had a bit of time to think about what my New Years resolutions are.

Every year me and the Duke, and Fric and Frac, make a list of goals we want to achieve the coming year..and then we put it on the fridge..to remind us.

I came a cross this blog post...a 21 day challenge!

Dear Bettie's,
So big news! I finally bought a sewing machine!
All this time i had been borrowing mine from baseball Betty...and considering i knew had to work it better than her, i thought i better return it...so as to not wear it out.
I have quicky put my new one to good use! I just did a quick ziggy zaggy around this layout. I used all the cute papers, and embellies from an Imaginisce line called Happy Camper. I think it is so cute. i remember spying it at CHA, and thinking i have to have it. i have been hoarding it for months...you know how i do. Its too cute to use. LOL.

I had to glitter the marsh mellows of coarse, and pop everything up with foam dots.

Man i love those things!

I also had to bust out my Cricut since i had no perfectly matching Thickers to stick on! what? How could that be??? Bwahahahaha I just cut out the "WE' and the heart. Perfect every time.

Speaking of the Cricut, i scored 4 new cartridges at the Black Friday sales!
I wasn't a donkey...and i didn't go super early, i just went at around lunch time, and they had lots of good ones left!
Yahoooo! I always stock up every Black Friday.

Gobble Gobble...well that turkey came and went!

It was a feast to munch on all day! I didn't even set off the smoke alarm this year, but i did manage to cut my thumb...LOL always something to add some excitement to the day!

I left my Heart In San Francisco

Good news girls!

I am making headway on my to do list!

Mine is a mile long...but i just busted a bunch out - and lady it feels so good.

So a few months back the Duke took me on a Surprise trip to San Francisco.

Holy smokes---now i am in love with the city! Wow, what a town, all the little cable cars rolling up and down the hills, and the fog rolling in like mushroom soup, the twinkling stars over the bay, and the golden gate bridge framing it all....I really did leave my heart there.

Over the weekend i had time to get some layouts done, so i decided to do an album filled with shots from San Fran!

This is the title page! I made the little couple outta my cricut, thinking it was a man and a lady...like a honey bunch trip...no kids... but when i showed my friends they said it looked like symbols to go to the washroom.

LOL.

Whats happening today?

do ya have your turkeys almost ready? are you feeling the gobble love? We are! I cant wait to get out all the fancy dishes and do nothing but make yummy food all day! I have been making my list of what to make this year. we have our traditions, but i like to try a new dessert every year...so we will see what happens!

I just wanted to share a teensy weensy album i made in the summertime. i made 12 kits for the getaway, and i still have a few left. If you would like one, you can leave a comment here, or on the bestbetties facebook page too.

I used the cute line from Imaginisce called "Lucy Bird". It is a bit older, but i couldn't resist the bright colors! I also had to use the cute mini album from Creative Imaginations.

A scrappy thrill of a lifetime!

A few years ago, in November, I quit my job at a local scrapbook shoppe, and i was very sad. I missed all my friends i worked with, and i also missed all the ladies who came into shoppe, and who came to crop. I felt like i broke up with a boyfriend that i was still in love with. It was hard, and i missed it alot.

I knew I had to do something, to get on with it. So i made a goal. Since it was November, i decided to make an addition to my list of New Years Resolutions. I added: to start a blog, and to get on a manufacturer design team, and to get published! I started my blog almost immediately, then six months later i made it onto a darling design team, and then thirteen months later got my first email, saying i was getting published! It was no big deal to most people, in fact hardly anyone knows. But to me, it meant the world.

The reason i am telling you this, is because just when you think it will never happen it finally does. I am also telling you this because since leaving my favorite shoppe, i have met so many new friends, and have so many new opportunities come my way. I guess sometimes things are just meant to be.

Long story short, here is a project that i made, and it was published in the October issue of Cricut magazine. I made this party favor for my good friends baby shower. She knew she was naming her baby Madison, so i made these little packages for her shower. I used my cricut, and also some cute papers from My Mind's Eye. Then i want to the market, and bought these little pastries to put inside. Then i sewed them all shut, after making the label on my computer, that read "Maddie Cakes". They were so cute, all piled on my cake stand. I made about 40 of them. I had one saved, and saw that the magazine was looking for girls night out projects. I decided to send it in, and yippee yiy yay, here is its!

What's happening hot stuff?
Can you believe it is almost turkey time!
We went from being alone on Thanksgiving to having a houseful! I can't wait! I love having all the family over and making a huge feast, and getting out the china, and decorating everything so cute! I love it all! I have all my turkey decorations up, so it is feeling like it is time to go and get my turkey picked out!

As far as scrapping goes, i am having a hard time getting any done! I miss it so much! But this weekend i am going to an all day crop, so i am gonna bust out alot of projects! Can't wait!

Cricut Class tomorrow!

Hi Girls! Whew, it has been a crazy three weeks!

Lots of fun has been going on, and the blog has been neglected!

Just wanted to jump on and let you know that tomorrow i am teaching my Cricut classes at the local store! I will be teaching the beginner class at 10 am, followed by the advanced class at noon. All you need to bring is your machine, mats, cartridges, and of course the cord.

You won't get far without it! LOL.

Hi Girls!

The weekend is finally here!

Blond Betty, Button Betty,and I, are just putting the final touches on all the loose ends for the getaway!

We are sold out as far as cropping space goes, and staying at the house for the weekend, but the boutique will be open for all your shopping pleasures!

Bring a friend and come on over! The store will open at 1:OO on Friday, and remain open all weekend long 'til about 3:oo on Sunday. We are always up really late, so if you need to come by late at night just let us know.

You have our cell phones, and our emails, so give us a hollar.

We will have to give you the code to the gate at the front of the house , so you can come up the drive.

Breast cancer has touched the lives of my aunties, and 2 of my sweetest friends. My good friend Elizabeth, and I have been the hostess's at this event for the last 2 years, and staying up for 24 hours to raise money for the cure is an easy and fun task.

I may not have the time to train for the 3 day walk, but I can do this.

We raised 65,000.00 at this event this year, and close to 500,000.00 in the past ten years.

My to do list last week, was hosting Survivor Crop, and help raise funds to find the cure,

next we will take over the world!!!! ;)

Been a busy mama over here!

October is gonna be a crazy month!

Next weekend it is

Survivor Crop.

My Friend Elizabeth and I are the MC's for the 24 hour scrapbook marathon! There is going to be about 150 ladies there raising money for the cure...breast cancer...it has got to go!

The event is in it's tenth year and this year we are hoping to bust through the 100,000.00 dollar mark for Susan G. Komen! We have been busy planning the event for the last 9 months, and it is almost here!

Every year some of the attendees get gift cards, so I made up these little gift card holders to present to them. I think they turned out really cute! I only wish i had my sewing machine...but i had to give it back to my friend...so i had to use pink staples instead. I also was on the hunt for pink and white bakers twine...but i could find every other combo. Funny how it works, so i just used stitching thread instead.

I can't wait to see all the ladies, some are returning from years past, and some will be newbee's...we have so many fun things planned...crazy games, pie eating contests, pickle eating contests, and make n takes galore....food food food, and more food... awesome classes, wear your stretchy pants, and don't plan on sleeping! I will post pictures on the blog after the event so you can see the madness!

Better run...lots to do, and i might just have to go and buy a sewing machine this weekend...LOL :)

We were talking about some of our favorite projects, and here are a few of mine right now!

Banners, banners, and more banners!

I wanted you to see the banners i mentioned over there. :)

So this apple one is the one i had hanging during the month of September, and I loved how it turned out! I Also taught it as a class, and sold kits for it too. It was a keeper.

I used an apple album from Maya Road, and the nutmeg line from Cosmo Cricket.

Too perfect for fall.

This is a snippet of my Halloween one...it is even easier to make, just cardstock and my Cricut machine. Used a bunch or orange ric rac, and then spelled out BOO.

just took me about 20 minutes.

easy peasy.

This is the one that started it all...last Christmas, me and some of my best Bettie's gathered to scrap. We each brought a quick and easy kit to make...as usual i misunderstood, and brought a little project to make from a kit...any how...we sewed together, all of these scallops i had pre-cut, and we made the cutest little banners. I hung mine from the mirror above the fireplace, but my Bettie's hung theirs in their trees... killer cute right? Sorry i don't have a better picture of it all together.

I must have been to busy eating shortbread cookies, and sipping hot cocoa. LOL.

Banners are just a few of my favorite things right now...gotta make a new one for every season.

Hello Fall- We love you!

September is just flying by, and it is almost time to head over to this place! It is our local pumpkin patch that we go to every year, usually two or three times during the month! They have thousands of pumpkins in the fields to choose from, and every year we get a whole wheel barrel full of them.

For this layout used some papers from Crate, and some embellishments from We R Memory Keepers. The felt and the trims are left over doo dahs from a Polka Dot Whimsy kit...so cute for this page!

I Can't wait to go this weekend and get our annual load of pumpkins, and pumpkin butter, and pumpkin seeds, and eat at the fair they have out on the farm...hello fall, we love you!

Happy Fall Weekend!

It has been cool and foggy here by the sea, so we watched Escape From Alcatraz this weekend...perfect for a foggy, creepy cool night.

Tried to some some work done around this joint, but really just ran back and forth to the soccer fields, and had a night out with some fun girls.

Now it is Sunday again, and we are ready for another week to start. Time does fly when you are having fun. The cool weather has made me want to bake, so i got out my fall cookbook, and started making my list...also told the duke that we need to plan our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. He said we didn't need to go this year. Ha! Over my dead, cold body.

Also picked up my issue of this...i have all of them, the entire collection, since 1997. I love Halloween, and fall, so i go back to these mags time and time again! If you want one, they are on newsstand's now!

This is a summertime layout i made using some yummy goodies from Momenta. They have these large pads, and they include borders, and tags, that i couldn't resist!

Hi Betties,

Just back with a layout to say good bye to summer....and here we go again. Yesterday was the first day of Autumn. Its starting to cool down, and my owl collection is out and ready, i've been burning pumpkin candles, and its time to buy some caramel to make batches and batches of apples!
I Love fall!

This layout is using some goodies from another Polka Dot Whimsy Kit, called Country Farm. It had lots of October Afternoon goodies in it- which i will love them long time!
Since the beginning! Til the end! They have such cute stuff!

Look at the cute little red pom pom--- where does she find these things?
And i love that punch i got from stamping up years ago- still love it.

Some of those little stickers are from Crate too, and then the letters are from October Afternoon.

Hi There girls!!!

I am back to my bloggy!

It was a fast and crazy summer, and frankly I wasn't around much at all! We had lotsa fun travels, and lots of company, and trips to the beach....just a good old time!
So now the grind is back, Fric and Frac are back in school, and life is getting back to normal!

So let me start sharing some of the goodies i have been busy creating!

Howdy Girls! How ya'll doin today?

I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off...but i am sure you can relate.

Wink wink.

Summer is supposed to be relaxing right?

Ha!

But even though we are crazy busy...we are having loads of fun!

The sultry hot months of summertime are going by too fast...

I just wanted to hop on the bliggity blog and show you some summery pages that I created for Momenta! I was thrilled to be asked to be their guest designer this month!

The products are so cute, and i love all the bright colors too!

On the layout above i used a whole bunch of the little die cuts that came in their paper pad...they were so cute, i just had to use them all! Kinda made a frame around the picture.

On this layout below, I loved the embossed paper, so wanted to use it, and then added on the cute letters at the bottom to make my title! Matches perfectly! Those cute little frames, and trees, are part of the pad too! I am telling you, that pad means business...tonnes of stuff in it!

For this simple layout I had to use those darling ice cream cone die cuts....perfect with my pictures!

I just pop dotted them onto my ric rac ribbon! Love them!

And for this page, i loved the long borders that were included as well...and the sail boats were the perfect thing to add to our boating adventures!

Hi Bettie's....holy nuts...it is late but i am still going strong!!!

Kitting, and pricing like a mad woman, for the getaway!!! Tomorrow i will show you a bunch of goodies that are up for grabs!

CHA is also on this week in Chicago, but like donkies, we scheduled our weekend away as well...this is just as fun to me!!! But i must say i am excited to see the new things from all the manufacturer's!!!

In the meantime, take a peek at a couple of layouts i did with some darling products from Momenta!!!

They are really basic and simple, but sometimes i like to keep it that way...on these ones i didn't even journal yet! I have to journal all alone, or i just write the same thing on every layout. Or spell words wrong...LOL

I love using ribbons on my layouts, they are so cute. These ones are from my stash, and the Thickers are from Button Betty, a nice light lime green! Love them!

I am teacher my Beach banner at Everafter Scrapbooks store, and i want you to come!!!

This banner is published in the June/July issue of the Cricut magazine, and now is your chance to make one of your own!

Is your summer in full swing!? I have been washing the pool towel,s and the swim trunks everyday! Going through the sunscreen like a crazy person. Feels good to feel the sun on me, after being cooped up inside like an old lady for so long!

Hey gals!

Summer is finally here!

We had swimming lessons, and went to the market, and then back to the neighborhood pool for some swimming with friends! Then we bar b qued chicken and veggies for dinner time!

Deeeee-lish!!!

So fun to be off school, and free for the summertime! The only problem, is I have less time to scrapbook! Fric and Frac are keeping me busy, so i have to find time to scrap!

Next month is our Betty Retreat in Southern California, and I cant wait! I have been dreaming up all kinds of layout kits, and fun mini albums, and product kits of all kinds! We Just ordered all the new My Mind's Eye collection as well called "Lime Twist"...so we will have it there at the crop as well!

Here is a layout from my stash of My Little Shoebox goodies! I love how one thing from a line can inspire a whole page. I loved the little apple stickers, so I made a page about the family tree, and added some apples in too!

I had to use the sewing machine!!!

Hello again! I am back to blogging again!

That was a long break!

I had surgery this month, and am felling better now, so i am picking up the peices...and starting up my normal routine again. Being sick, and not feeling good is no fun! My heart goes out to anyone who has been feeling yucky. I have a few more weeks to go, and then should be back to busting a move, and baking cookies, 2 of my favorite things to do!

A new years resolution dream come true!

Hi Girls...

Wow, just a few more days of school and then we are done for the year! Hard to believe how fast this year went by. It is always sad to see another year go by, but we are ready for some sunny days at the pool, and breezy days at the beach, and flip-flops and soda pops. Sign us up!

I am just puttin' this card back on the blog. The card was picked up to be featured in the June/July issue of the new Cricut magazine! A new years resolution dream come true! Three other projects are in the same issue, and I'll share them with ya over the next month. :)

I love to use up my tiny bits of scraps to make cards...so this is an example of that. My girlfriend Christi {aka blonde Betty} always makes a card with her left-overs, and i thought it was so smart to do...so now i do it too!

For this one i just kept cutting circles with the Cricut with scraps until i had enough to make a card. so easy, so simple, so fast. Plus it saves me the time and gas to go to Target and buy one...love that!

These bits and pieces were from a kit called "Happy Home" from Polka Dot Whimsy. Good stuff in those suckers...that's for sure. Lovin' the cosmo cricket, and echo park papers!

well i better run and feed the kiddos. the natives are restless.

Dear Bettie's! Another whirlwind week here, and days go by without updating my blog. The pile of scrap stuff in my dining room is horrendous, and if the duke hasn't filed for divorce ...i don't know why!? He is a saint, and never complains of the stash on the dining room table, but i do have nightmares of coming home, and he's taken it all into the backyard and lit it on fire. Oh dear. not good. he has fric and frac at the movies so i am going to tackle it right away...before he gets back..lol...

Here are a few more cards i have made using the darling lines from My Little Shoebox! They had a blog hop over the weekend, and it was fun to hop along and see all the new dt's blogs, and work! There were some really darling layouts! I will always have a soft spot for Helen and the girls from MLS!

I love the scallop punch from Martha Stewart! I punched out a bunch of cute images from the papers and just sewed them on. I have seen this technique in a few magazines, and even saw a layout with a bunch of hearts in this sort of way. It was so cute.

Then i made this one by just layering some die-cuts on each other. It was so easy! I also cut a rectangular scallop with my Cricut. I like scallops, especially if they are potatoes!

On national scrapbook day, i spent the day scrapping away, and we put the Cricut to work! This is a layout i made for our Christmas card picture.

Love the little skinny tree going up the side, and the buttons for ornaments. I usually get all my buttons from www.littleredcottage.etsy.com. She hand dies them, and they are beauties!

Some of the embellie's are left over goodies from polka dot whimsy kits, and the papers are echo park. Cant go wrong with them!

Love these little clouds, i cut them with my Cricut, then places the "ho ho ho" on top! Quick and fast...best pages to do!

I love using my scrap to make a card with! It is a good way to clean up your space while you are packing up...you have all the stuff out from a layout, so just whip up a card to go with it! I used some extra goodies from the March add on kit called "Freshly Picked". It is from Polka Dot Whimsy. You can see the layout i made in the previous post, then i just used up some extra goodies to make this cute card!

Spring is flying by, and here we are half way though May already! Cannot wait for the summertime! Only a few more weeks until the kids are out on summer vacation! Yipppe!

This layout shows my little Frac with his best girl. They were always doing somethin' crazy. She had to move a ways a way, and we sure miss her like mad. They were besties......she was tough as nails, and could ride the big wheel like mad. She is a good egg, and we miss her face real bad. That's why summertime is so sweet. We can meet her at the beach, half way between our houses...and just play the day away. We will also go to the county fair with her, and her nut jobs brothers. They are good eggs too. We miss them real bad too. It is hard to find normal friends, with normal kids.. you know? Don't ya just feel like this world is filled with wackos, and lunatics...or is it just me? Hmm...i getting off topic now. I'll shut my yapper now.

How are ya doing today? I have so much to do, and never enought time to do it! Over the weekend i had some time to go to my local scrapbook store and scrap for about 6 hours...not much time, but i did manage to bust out some pages! This was one of them. I saw a contest being put on by Bella BLVD. so i made a page for it. It is about being a mom, and what all you have to do, as a mom. The job is never done!

Food, Drinks and Snacks: Best Betties will happily cook and serve delicious homemade meals from Friday Dinner until Sunday Lunch. Lots of different varieties of soft drinks are available, and well as generous bins of our favorite sweet and salty snacks! The dining room at the Scrap Inn will easily accommodate all of us at one time. No need to worry about making dinner for the family this weekend! Just sit down and enjoy the delicious home cooked meals and conversation with friends!

The Boutique: There will be a fabulous Best Betties Boutique set up with wonderful handmade items, mini albums, product kits, and page kits. Our adhesives, cardstock selection, buttons, trims, patterned papers and other wonderful goodies will also be available. So if you want to settle down and get some serious scrapbooking accomplished, this is the weekend to do it! Start your getaway off with a wonderful page, or product kit, and get to creating fast! No need to worry about running out of adhesives, we know your favorites and keep them well stocked for you.

Cropping Area: Each guest will have a roomy 6” foot table, comfortable chair, drink holder, trash can, extra outlets and OTT light. There is also lots of natural light with drop-dead gorgeous views from the plentiful windows.

Tool Room, Cropping Island: This gorgeous second location has all the wonderful tools to help you create the scrapbook pages you want. There are two computers, sewing machine, Cricut machine and cartridges, stamps, ink pads, and two photo-quality printers available.

Rooms: There is room to sleep 18 with 14 twin beds and 2 queen beds. So invite your friends, and make it a nice, long girl’s weekend! Linens and towels are color coded to make finding your personal things easy.

Nearby amenities: There are lots of great places to go nearby if you need something or just want to take a little field trip….Target, CVS, Chipotle, Panera, Starbucks and Jamba Juice, just to name a few. Further directions, etc, will be included in a reminder email approximately a week before the getaway.

Hello peeps!

Hopefully you are recovering from your Mother's Day /national scrapbooking weekend hangover. The Duke and Fric and Frac made me a yummy dinner ...pulled pork sandwiches, and then we went to a MLB ballgame. It was awesome to take in the sights and smells of a ball game. I love going to the big league games. I wish the duke was a pro ball player, so i could eat hot dogs every night for dinner. and nachos with cheese sauce, and then top it of with a ice cream treat that had 24 grams of fat in it. Yup...you heard me...i only ate half of it...lol..It was an awesome weekend!

I have been burning up my Cricut machine, and i made this layout over the weekend and then i made 6 more just like it, for the upcoming getaway we are having for our Best Bettie's. The getaway is already sold out, and isn't until July, but i like to get a head start on all my layout kits. I have been thinking about putting together a little class too..maybe a banner of some kind.

I made a huge strawberry to go with the papers!

Long time no post eh? It has been a mad house around here...we have had so many appointments, and crazy sports, and everything in between! I feel like a hamster just running on those wheels all day everyday! Nutjob central...i am about ready to go to the funny farm...but frankly i don't have time to pack my bags!

Here is a layout I did using the March Kit from

I loved the colors in this kit...so springy and bright.

The journalling for the title says "I just want to pull you in close and breath you in." I heard those lyrics in a country song, i think from Rascall Flatts, they sing it, and it really felt like what i want to do to my boys sometimes.

Do you ever just hold 'em close, and smell 'em when you hug them??? Soon they will be grown up, and gone...no more daily hugs, and no more sweaty little boy- mixed with dirt, or pool and sunscreen, smell.

Love the little embellishments from Jillibean Soup, and the darling papers too.

Today we had a luncheon for the teachers at Fric and Frac's school.

I had the fun job of being in charge of the dessert table. The theme for this weeks teacher appreciation - was sports, so i went with some cute pennants in all the primary colors.

I found these lanterns at Target, and they matched perfectly...so i had to use them too!

Oh, and these cute little pinwheels,

Here are the cute little pennants, made with my Cricut.

They were fun and easy to make. I got the idea from Margie's booth at CHA. She had the cutest make and take, and i thought it would be really cute to make a sporty style one.

I found the peanut butter m & m's to pour into the vases, and they looked really cute scattered all around the room. The ladies brought all kinds of desserts, and the whole day was perfect! The teachers left with the cutest new ball hats, and full totes of supplies to get them through the rest of the year as well.

Our PTO team is amazing, and i have heard that the other schools say it is run like a boot camp. LOL. whatever works. I have been at the school for several years, and for sure can tell you this, it has never been better. The girls in charge are amazing, and do so much. Our teachers and staff, and kids are really lucky to have such amazing mom's.

Anyhow, just thought i'de share in case anyone else needs some ideas of how to spoil some great teacher's they love.

Wow, a couple of fun things to share with you today!!!

A long time ago, December 31st to be sure, i sent off a few things to the Cricut Magazine, By the peeps who make Scrapbook Trends, for submission...and to my joy and surprise...4 of my projects were picked up to be published.

I have been waiting since then to see what they will look like in a real magazine..not just my own house...lol.

Last night while i was watching Dancing With the Stars {watching Max..hubba hubba...shake his booty}, my friend Rachel texted me, and said she saw my beach banner in a sneak peek...wahooo...i ran to the computer and found this!!!

Cricut Classes tomorrow!

Well it is time for another round of Cricut classes!

If you are local, and need to know how to use your machine, then stop by the store!

You can call 630-CROP, and sign up!

First class for beginners starts at 9:30 am, follwed by the advanced at 11:30 am. The difference between them is the advanced covers the expression machine, and i go over all the extra buttons! Please keep in mind that the projects are very simple since we spend 90% of the class learning how to use the machine, and then the last few mins we put the cards together for fun!

Life has been nutty the last few weeks, and i feel outta the loop with all my scrapbooking!

Hi Girls...this week has been a whirl wind of craziness...i feel like a chicken running around with my head cut off.

I don't have enough time in the day...super busy with fric and frac at thier schools, and sports, and the duke is off gallavanting around for the stanley cup playoffs!!!

This is really cutting into my scrapping time!

The store is having a wicked good garage sale for scrap supplies, and i have been trying to go through my stash...but really who has time?

I just dont' have time for the nervous breakdown i deserve...or the scrap time i need! wink!

Here is a card i made using one of the new my little shoebox lines! It is an adorable line!! As usual! I love the little diecuts! I love these tiny scalloped albums, they are the perfect size for using wallet size pictures!

We go to disneyland alot when we have company, so making smaller albums is fun, cause then you can send them home to family. Just pop em in a puffy envelope and your done!

Farewell My Little Shoebox Bloghop

Well it has been a great run.

My Little Shoebox was the very first manufacturer design team i was ever on, and they will always hold a special place in my heart.

But...all good things must come to an end. I will miss being in touch with all the girls, and having crazy escapades at CHA together, but luckily i can stalk them on Facebook, and their personal blogs!

I have had a blast with all the girls, and love Helen, the owner, to bits!

So this is me flinging you all air kisses from me... to you, all across the land. I love ya'll! Thanks for the memories...and all the awesome products too!

It was so fun to make. i

loved placing all the little details.

Howdy Betties!

I have been scrapbooking like a crazy woman!

My dining room cannot be dined at... that is for sure, there is so many bins, and bobbles... its just insane. People come to the front door, and it looks like a hurricane blew through that part of the house...oh well...

Today, and last Thursday, My Little Shoebox is having a sketch contest. If you join in on facebook you can see all the fun creations, or hop over to the blog too. The girls from the design team have done some too.

Here is the sketch itself, that Aphra designed...she is smart like that, and knows how to make these awesome sketches.

Here is my take on the sketch.

That is a picture of me and two of my bestie's from university. we all met in our program for fine arts, and have remained in touch, even though the miles have kept us apart. we see each other whenever i go back home, and also they have both been here to visit as well. It is amazing to have friends that make such an impression on you , that they become friends for life. we have always been there for each other.

we are dorks.

we all love movies, and musicals.

anything to do with theatre.

we all wear glasses, and change our hair color.

we all swear a tiny bit, and we like to go and eat and tell funny stories and talk in weird voices. we usually pretend we are from Europe and talk in an accent.

we like to shop.

we like purses and shoes...and MAC make-up.

yup. we ran over a gopher once, so we are all hysterical too.

we were traumatized for months. it was horrendous. rest in peace gopher.

St. Paddy's Day is a pretty big deal around here!

The garland are hung with sparkly clovers hanging off the rafters, and fireplace, the leprachauns trap is ready to catch some pesky guys, and the Lucky Charms are in the pantry. All that is left is to make the green milk and to grab our red beards and top hats in the morning as we head off to school.

These two pictures were taken 2 years ago...i love them! So cute!

Holy smacks it's been a few crazy weeks. Sorry to leave ya hanging for so long! We have had some stuff going on over here, but things are getting back to normal, whatever that is!?

So take a peek at this little 8 x 8 layout i did for the My Little Shoebox booth for CHA.

I used the cute new line called garden party....love the bright colors and the bumble bee's!

So stinking cute!

I did a lot of sewing on this layout. I love sewing, but the machine takes up alot of room on the table. My table is a disaster zone right now. i really should take a picture of it!

This line would be perfect for spring time or easter layouts...i heard the birddes chirping last week , and the cheery tree is starting to bloom on the backyard! I even have yellow roses on my bushes already! Hall a looo ya! Its almost spring!

Have you girls been able to find all of the new lines from My Little Shoebox yet?

They are so cute!

I made this little Valentine's Day card using the new Garden Party line.

I used a die cut, and then a little stamp, on some patterned paper. I found that cute stamp in the dollar bin at Michael's...sometimes they have really cute ones.

Then i cut out the bee's and popped them with pop dots. After that, i used a Martha Stewart punch, and stickled the bees, followed that with a heart punch too.

Then i stiched around the edge, just to complete the whole thing!

Love it!

Just wanted to share this little cutie i made for last months Cricut class, that i taught for the beginner ladies. It was perfect for Valentine's Day. I used the Wild Card cartridge, and the What a Hoot cartridge too. I love that Cricut machine! LOL. Makes everything so fast!

My Little Shoebox is looking for talented, motivated, responsible designers who have time to commit to design layouts and projects each month with our products and promote our products online and at their local stores.

We haven't set a specific number of designers for our team. We welcome international submissions.

We are looking for:

1. Enthusiastic, creative people that love My Little Shoebox and are able to do monthlyassignments such as layouts, projects, and cards with our products.

2. You must post your work on 2 different galleries plus the MLS galleries

3. You must be able to commit to a 12 months term, which will be from April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012.

4. You must be at least 18 years of age.

5. You agree to release the rights of your designs to My Little Shoebox for display on the company website, blog, and in company publications.

6. If needed, your designs may also be needed for display at trade shows.

7. In addition, as a design team member, you will be contributing twice per term to our company newsletter and be required quarterly to make a photo or video highlighting a technique for the blog.

8. You may be required to contribute to the company’s blog during your term.

What's happenin' hot stuff!? It is finally Friday! I love the weekends!

So here is a wee little card I made using the simple life line from My Little Shoebox. If you can't buy it locally you can find it at www.twopeasinabucket.com ...thay have all of the newer lines as well!

I really love the acrylic stamps that are so darling and go perfectly with this line! The trees are my favorite!

Also since it was the beginning of the year when i made this, i decied to alter this calender book. I just bought it at target, and then i took off the plastic, and covered it in...

all the papers, and die cuts from the line! Then i tied on some ribbons and an apple from www.polkadotwhimsy.com! Turned out really cute!

October Afternoons's booth was the Bomb Diggity!

Well, my scrapbook hangover is nearly gone...Cha takes it out of you, and inspires you all at the same time! It is so exciting... it is exhausting, and once you get back you just need to lay on the couch, and eat a bowl of ice cream, to gain back your strength! {I also had a red velvet cupcake from sprinkles, but that is for another post!} I have recuperated...so here we go with some fun things from CHA shall we?

I must say since the beginning October Afternoon has been one of my favorites.
I think this year they had one of the cutest booths. It was like a little store front, with brick walls, and it really was put together in a such a darling way. The way they had it decorated was so darling, with little touches and special things here and there...really cute!

They also had a really sweet make and take which consisted of a bottle cap necklace, such a cute and simple idea...i thought it was so clever!

I loved the bubblegum machine filled with buttons....who ever thought of that is a genius! So cute!

Oh and more yummy buttons in these crazy old vintage coffee cups....

The projects they had hidden away in all sorts of ways, including the cutest tags hung on a string...love it!

For me, they were the bomb diggity, and the three releases were adorable! Can't wait to get my hands on all of them!

Good job October Afternoon...you didn't disappoint this OA addict!

Back home from our crazy CHA adventures!

Phew! What a wild few days!

I am back from CHA in Los Angeles, and it was awesome! I have so much to tell you and show you... i can't wait to share all the things i heard about, and all the new lines i fell in love with!

BUT....Now that i am home...duty calls...the job of a mom is never over, so even though i just got back from a work trip...i have so much to do!

Exhibit A: laundry, groceries, make dinner, school papers, you know the drill!

So for now here is my top fave things about CHA... and then over the next few posts, i will share the rest of the goods!!

1] MEETING YOUR FACEBOOK, AND DESIGN TEAM FRIENDS IN REAL LIFE!

The top picture is of me and Shemaine! She is a sweetie, and it was so fun to finally meet her, and all the other my little shoebox girls in real life!!!

2] Doing all the darling make and takes at all the booths with all my friends as we wandered and visited the days away...while we worked of coarse!

3} Meeting up with old friends from across the sea!

Here is Amanda, and Marion, my friends from jolly old England! We didn't even have time for tea and crumpets!!!!

Being inspired by all the beautiful booths who had worked so hard to have such lovely new product lines!

This little nibble was in Margie's booth..the girl's paperie....ahhhhh!

Neener, neener... I have lost my marbles!

Dear Betties,

Please excuse me as i scream from the top of my lungs.......wahoooo i am leaving for CHA really soon and i can't wait!

Seeing all the new lines, and the fabby booths....for real i can't stand it!

I will be making videos for Everafter, and taking loads of pictures, and hopping in and out of the MLS Booth!!!

A little packing, and Polka Dots!

Dear Bettie's,

Take a peek at this little number! I used the bella blvd. goodies that came in the December kit from Polka Dot Whimsy!

Holla! Such cute kits, filled, and packed to the very tippy top of the zip loc!

Loved the Thicker's, and the ribbon in this kit is a killer too! As usual there are tonnes of embellies too, so it is easy to put a page together in a jiffy!

Look at those little tree's....killed me, i had to cut them out, they were so cute!

Gotta run, the relatives are in vading, and i gotta pack for CHA too!

Ahhh, the fall air, and some pumpkins....going to the local patch, and nut farm if you are lucky enough to have one near by! We go to our local pumpkin patch every year to support the family that runs it! It would be so sad to have to buy a pumpkin out of a box in front of the grocery store... I thought this line from My Little Shoebox went perfectly with my pictures! Love the square scalloped papers, and all the touches of woodgrain! So cute! This line is called "Green", and has darling tree's and snails, and mushrooms too!

It is kinda hard to see, but i stitched between everything, and i love how it turned out!

Here is one more, loved these colors together, and the woodgrain is my favorite part!

The My Little Shoebox girls are going to be at CHA, so look for us in the booth!

When you see all the new lines and the projects you are going to loose your mind!

Dear Betties,

Okay, i admit, i have been sewing everything in sight.

I have a huge mess out in my scrap nook, working away on so much stuff for CHA, and since the sewing machine is out, i sew on everything i can!

Today i went to visit a couple girls, so i just popped some mini chocolate bars in some little bags and made these little suckers in a hurry. I folded over some paper, grabbed 2 tags, and voila! And have i told you how much adhesive i have been saving? LOL!

I love Valentines Day!

I dropped at wad at the store on all of this cute V day stuff from K an CO! It is a really cute release! The paper on the top is old school Teresa Collins from my stash of scraps...Its always cute!

Hey there!

I have been designing goodies like mad for the My Little Shoebox booth For CHA! I am so excited to show you!

In the mean time we have been busy welcoming a new little one!

One of my girlfriends is having a baby and naming her Maddie. I had to make something fun to share, so i went and bought these little cakes, and then made some cute toppers! Then i named them Maddie Cakes. I also bought some animal crackers, since they were pink!

So fun to be having a brand new baby! Not long now!

A Cricut Swarm is a gathering of friends who craft, or scrapbook using their Cricut. It is meant to promote the fun, and enjoyment you receive from your Cricut products.

The swarm will be hosted by moi, hee hee hee, and Kimmy Lezama, the card swap leader. We

are crazy in love with our Cricut, that we share! We are both fanatics about the Cricut, and enjoy spreadin’ Cricut love. We will teach you all kinds of tricks, and show you all the latest cartridges, and give you all the latest news on all things Cricut! We will have lots of projects we have made using the Cricut, for you to be inspired by.

We would love for you to join us and be inspired, and learn something new, and make new cricuteer friends while you are at it! Bring your machine, no matter what size, all cricuts are welcome. Also bring your cords, mats, and any cartridges! Please bring your cards, your scrapbooking projects, tags, or anything you use your cricut with! We want you to share all your projects with us!

This swarm is for anyone who has a cricut, and wants to use it! We will have so much fun learning from each other, and making projects! If you aren’t quite sure how to use your cricut, no worries… the classes will be offered during the same time as the swarm, if you would like to participate in them also. {Class fees are not included in the cost of the swarm, as they are separate}

Ahhh, feels like summertime!

I know some of you are in the deep freeze of the year, oh heck even burried under 12 feet of snow, but i wanted to say summer is here where i love! It was 83 in my car the other day! I miss the change of seasons to say the least, but sometimes when it so warm here, i must admit it is nice.

I made this summery page using all the goodies form the December kit from Polka Dot Whimsy! Love those kits i tell you! Jammed pack with yummy goodness.

This months was filled with City Park from AC, and also yumms from October Afternoon!

Cricut classes- Bee Mine!

Just wanted to pop on here and show ya what the beginners and I made theis week. Once a month i teach Cricut classes at my local store and this was the weekend. Once i showed them the ropes, we all made these cute little bag toppers for Valentines Day! They turned out super darling and all the girls really liked them.

Next beginner and advanced classes are on Saturday, February 19th, at 1 oo PM, at Everafter Scrapbooks. If you would like to reserve a spot, please call 760-630-CROP. I will be back this week to show you the advanced class project.

Here is a little card i made for another one of our nephew's who just called this week to let us know he is getting hitched! Looks like we will be heading home this summer for another wedding!

I thought i better crack together a wedding card! Couldn't resist the cute new stuff from October Afternoon...the polka dot whimsy kit this month has so much cute stuff in it, including a bunch of goodies from them!

Love it!

PS: I also realised, i have no good wedding sentiment rubber stamps!!! What a shame, i tell ya! LOL...now i have a reason to go shopping!
